Under the name DJ Stella, Tom Flood began his journey into DJ culture in 2012, playing private events and club nights throughout Calgary. Drawn early to deep grooves, underground house music, and community-driven dance culture, he quickly built a reputation for thoughtful track selection and an instinctive ability to read a crowd.

 

After relocating to Toronto, he became immersed in the city’s underground electronic scene, performing house sets at events including the legendary Harvest Festival and the unforgettable Cherry Beach gatherings that helped define an era of Toronto nightlife.

 

Eventually heading west to the Kootenays, DJ Stella continued to expand his range and presence, becoming a regular performer at a wide variety of events and festivals. From ski hill deck parties to late-night underground stages, his sets are known for creating immersive, high-energy atmospheres that feel both curated and spontaneous. Most notably, he has performed at the Rabbit Hole Stage at Shambhala Music Festival — one of Canada’s most celebrated electronic music festivals.
